This is an introductory course in engineering graphics. Topics include orthographic views, isometric views, basic dimensioning, section views, auxiliary views, and scales. This course will further the students' knowledge of computer-aided drafting principles in a 2D and 3D environment using AutoCAD and Inventor software. Topics include: Detail and assembly drawings; generating a parts List; Accessing CAD Libraries and integrating online CAD resources into drawings; Choice of materials, surface textures, and machining processes; Dimensioning standards for manufacturing and inspection; Analysis of industrial drawings and identifying issues such as missing views/information.
