Student for a Day 1Programs2Tell us about yourself Some programs at Dawson College offer future students the opportunity to spend a day attending classes from their program, meeting teachers and fellow students and visiting their classrooms and facilities. Some programs have specific days scheduled for student for a day visits while others will welcome you into their classrooms at any time. Please note that not all programs offer this activity. Student for a Day activities are temporarily suspended due to COVID-19. The video at the top of the Civil Tech page deals with many of the Frequently Asked Questions and the video near the bottom of the page provides quite a bit of info about the Program. Interested students must sign up with the Nursing program during Open House. This year, in place of our Student for a Day program offered in the past, the Dawson Professional Photography Program is pleased to offer an Application Mentorship to help navigate the application process. The mentorship is open to anyone considering applying to the Dawson Professional Photography Program. Interested candidates will receive a one-on-one consult with one of our faculty, at which time questions about the program will be answered, and personal guidance on how to put a selection of photographs together for application purposes will be provided.There are no Student for a Day activities for Professional Theatre at this time.This service is temporarily suspended due to COVID-19.Visit the Social Service website for more information about their Student for a Day program.Visit the Visual Arts website for more information about their Student for a Day program.Science UPDATE: In an effort to provide a better experience for attendees, our Student-for-a-Day in Science event is being postponed until early February (ahead of the March 1st application deadline). Registration for the event will remain open until January 2021. The event will tentatively include the following activities: A question and answer session with Dawson science teachers, academic advisors, and other experts. Attending a science class taught remotely. Attending an Enriched Science seminar and/or other science activity. A discussion period, in small groups, with current Dawson science students. A confirmation email will be sent after registration closes in January, and will include detailed instructions with the specific time and meeting links for the event.
