This is an interdisciplinary grouping of courses designed to help students develop an understanding of Greek language, traditions and history, which are at the root of Western civilization. Students must enroll in the Hellenic Studies certificate, take specially selected courses, and participate in the varied activities of the Hellenic Studies Centre. Those who enroll and complete three Hellenic Studies courses are awarded the Hellenic Studies Certificate upon graduation. After enrolling in the certificate and completing the three courses, students are also eligible to apply for the $1,000 Hellenic Studies Award.
