The rooftop gardens project at Dawson is hosting three Senior Interns in 2014.  Meet Yette, a student at Concordia University who will receive credit for the internship through the sustainability studies minor.  

From her bio: “I am a Concordia Student from Vancouver, BC, studying Urban Planning with a minor in Sustainability. 

I am very interested in increasing food security by building resilient local food systems, especially through urban agriculture and sustainable urban planning.  I have volunteered at small organic farms in BC and Ontario, and with organizations that help homeowners harvest their often neglected fruit trees. I have also written articles for the Capilano Courier and the Orillia Packet and Times on sustainability issues and initiatives across the country. 

I am excited for the opportunity to get involved in building up the urban food system in Montreal.
