Returning students are asked to log into MyDawson, go to <strong>myOmnivox\u00a0Services<\/strong> and\u00a0click on <strong>Progression Chart.\u00a0<\/strong>In addition to their proposed (&#8220;to do F20&#8221;) courses on the Progression Chart, Academic Advisors may also have posted comments to further guide the students with registration.<\/p>\n<p>New students in Fall 2020 may also see their progression charts at My College Services &#8211; Progression Chart and Important Registration Info.<\/p>\n<p>The Fall 2020 Timetable and Registration Guide is now available online. Students access the timetable by logging into MyDawson and finding the link under\u00a0My College Services.<\/p>\n<p>Please note, the timetable is no longer printed\u00a0by the College.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"what-if-i-will-be-away-and-dont-think-i-can-register-by-internet\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>What if I will be away and don't think I can register by internet?<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p>At the moment of your Omnivox appointment time and during the online registration period, you could ask a trusted friend or family member to register for you, as long as he or she has your student number, Omnivox password and access to your Progression Chart. If instead, you need to ask someone to register for you in person (that is, after the end of online registration), you should fill out a proxy form, available at the 2D.6 counter or you can download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/registrar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/proxyregistrationform.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" name=\"Link\">Proxy Registration Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"will-courses-be-assigned-to-me\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>Will courses be assigned to me?<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p>Students in most programs, with the exception of Liberal Arts students and returning students in General Social Science, will be assigned some or all of their program-specific education (concentration) courses. When courses are assigned, it means that spaces are reserved for you in appropriate courses. You will still have to add remaining courses and finalize your registration. Remember: even if you are only taking assigned courses, you still have to <b>finalize<\/b> your registration.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<b>deadlines to finalize your Fall 2020 registration are:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b> August 17, 2020 at 11:30 p.m.<\/b> for RETURNING students in a Day program<\/p>\n<p><strong>August 27, 2020 at 11:30 p.m.<\/strong> for NEW students in a Day program (and students who have been expelled but re-admitted by the appeals committee)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"how-do-i-find-out-my-assigned-courses\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>How do I find out my assigned courses?<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p>Log onto MyDawson. Assigned courses will be found under <strong>My Omnivox Services<\/strong>, <strong>Course Schedule Inquiry<\/strong>. They will be on the system just prior to your registration date.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"what-must-i-register-for\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>What must I register for?<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p>In addition to your specific education ( concentration ) courses, you must also take the general education and complementary courses indicated on your\u00a0Progression Chart\u00a0for the semester you are entering. These courses are indicated as &#8220;<strong>to do F20<\/strong>&#8221; (Fall 2020) on your Progression Chart; this is accessed by returning students by\u00a0logging into MyDawson,\u00a0and under\u00a0<strong>My College\u00a0Services,<\/strong> clicking on <strong>Progression Chart and Important Registration Info. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You may also find useful information on how to use the Omnivox registration system by consulting the <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/75219626\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">How to Register video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"what-do-i-do-if-i-cannot-or-would-prefer-not-to-take-a-full-course-load-this-semester\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>What do I do if I cannot, or would prefer not to, take a full course load this semester?<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p>A full course load refers to the number of courses you are expected to take each semester so as to complete all your courses in the usual period of time. You may request a reduced course load by logging on to MyDawson, and under My College Services, click on Reduced Course Load Request.<\/p>\n<p>Reducing your course load may have consequences on your time to graduation. Please consult an Academic Advisor during a <a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/academic-advising\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">drop-in session<\/a>\u00a0if you are unclear on the impact of reducing your course load.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"can-i-as-a-day-student-take-a-course-through-continuing-education\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>Can I, as a day student, take a course through Continuing Education?<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p>Only in very exceptional circumstances and with special permission from the Registrar.
