{"id":3327,"date":"2020-03-10T11:58:19","date_gmt":"2020-03-10T15:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/news\/?post_type=digest&#038;p=3327"},"modified":"2020-03-10T11:58:19","modified_gmt":"2020-03-10T15:58:19","slug":"call-for-nominations","status":"publish","type":"digest","link":"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/news\/dnews\/call-for-nominations\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Know any outstanding students?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Awards Office is now taking in <strong>nominations<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>The following awards are now open for NOMINATIONS:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Bruno Mital \u2018B\u2019 Positive Award \u2013 1 recipient of $ 1,000<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This award is designed to recognize a graduating student who has gone above and beyond to help their community, their fellow students, or the Dawson community, without seeking recognition.\u00a0 This scholarship is named after Bruno Mital, a graduate of the Community Recreation and Leadership Training (CRLT) program and\u00a0chairperson of the Dawson College Board\u00a0of Governors for two years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Paul Gallagher Award \u2013 3 recipients of $500<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This award, named after Dawson College\u2019s first Director General, is given to up to three graduating students in recognition of significant contribution to student life. The most important criteria are leadership, contribution to College life and participation in student\/college government, sports or other college activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please nominate through your Omnivox portal \u2013 Student Services \/ Awards, Bursaries and Scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The nomination <strong>deadline <\/strong><strong>is <\/strong><strong>March 25<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>******************************************************************<\/p>\n<p>We also need employees to serve on our Awards Selection Committees!
