Scholarships are awarded for studies, research, language studies or a combination of studies and language studies at <a class=\"ui-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.campuschina.org\/universities\/index.html\">participating Chinese institutions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For more details the website is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educanada.ca\/scholarships-bourses\/can\/ccsep-peucc.aspx?lang=eng\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Direction des affaires internationales<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fedecegeps.ca\/international\/mobilite-internationale\/enseignants\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Direction des affaires internationales<\/a>\u00a0(DAI) is an organization within the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des Cegeps\u00a0that assists institutions\u00a0within the network in designing and implementing strategies for internationalization. Through financing diverse projects, DAI\u00a0seeks to internationalize training and education in Quebec institutions. It aims to foster openness, understanding, cooperation and ultimately, the exportation \/ importation of knowledge for both teachers and students. In particular,\u00a0DAI offers bursaries of $3,000 for teachers who wish to pursue projects with institutions and community organizations abroad.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style>\n\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t.dc_accordion .dc_accordion-body:before{\n\t\t\t\tdisplay: block;\n\t\t\t\theight: 10px;height: 1rem;\n\t\t\t\tcontent: \"\";\n\t\t\t}\n\n\t\t\t\n\n\n\t\t<\/style>\n\n\n\t\t<div id=\"application-deadlines-2019-2020\" class=\"new dc_accordion  \" style=\"\" ><h2 class=\"dc_accordion-title highlighta\" ><a class=\"\" style=\"\" href=\"#application-deadlines-2019-2020\">Application Deadlines 2019-2020<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"dc_accordion-body \" style=\"\" ><p>The Direction des Affaires International has one deadline for projects occurring within certain periods of the year. For the 2019-2020 school year, it is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>February 11, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Projects scheduled to occur between May, 2020 to October, 2020<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"projects-admissible-for-funding\" class=\"new dc_accordion  \" style=\"\" ><h2 class=\"dc_accordion-title highlighta\" ><a class=\"\" style=\"\" href=\"#projects-admissible-for-funding\">Projects Admissible for Funding<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"dc_accordion-body \" style=\"\" ><p><strong>Projects may fit into one or more of the following three (3) categories:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Invited teacher or conference presenter (i.e. cultural and \/or pedagogical exchanges)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Participation in scientific, technological or pedagogical research projects (e.g. requests for doctoral research often fit into this category)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Participation in activities targeting cooperation and exchange of teaching methods, practices and innovative tools.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Projects in this category are often coupled with those in Category 1. Please note that DAI\u00a0limits cooperation projects submitted under this banner to a maximum of a couple of targeted partners or prospective partners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The admissibility of projects is based on the following set of criteria:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li>Potential for dissemination and educational outreach;<\/li>\n<li>Relevance of the project and level of innovation (i.e.: has this been done before? Does the submission build on an earlier stage of a project?);<\/li>\n<li>The coherence of the proposed project (i.e. do the project objectives tie in with the planned activities? Does the overall presentation\u00a0clearly demonstrate the aims and the intended outcomes of the project? If the project\u00a0has several phases, has the phase for which funding is requested been coherently tied to the overall project?;<\/li>\n<li>Quality of the presentation of the application;<\/li>\n<li>Is there complementary financing? ((i.e. can the College or another organization subsidize a part of your project costs?)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"to-apply\" class=\"new dc_accordion  \" style=\"\" ><h2 class=\"dc_accordion-title highlighta\" ><a class=\"\" style=\"\" href=\"#to-apply\">To apply<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"dc_accordion-body \" style=\"\" ><ol>\n<li>Fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/formulaires.cegepint.ca\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online application form<\/a>. If you have never submitted a DAI\u00a0project funding request before, you must click \u201cS\u2019inscrire\u201d to get a login name and password;<\/li>\n<li>Append a letter(s) of invitation from partners\u2019 institution(s);<\/li>\n<li>Append a letter of support for the project from the Dawson College Academic Dean;<\/li>\n<li>Append a calendar of activities, detailing the use of your time, for a minimum period of two weeks or fourteen days. Up to two of the fourteen days can be dedicated to travel;<br \/>\n<strong>Note<\/strong>: Two teachers who are applying for the same project\/trip should make sure that they each will play a slightly different role. This should be reflected in the activities calendar.<\/li>\n<li>A table of approximate costs associated with the trip (i.e. air travel, food, lodging, etc.);<br \/>\n<strong>Note<\/strong>: Applicants will be asked to provide an example of air travel costs.<\/li>\n<li>Your up to date CV;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Follow-up:<\/strong><br \/>\nNinety days after the activity has ended, successful applicants are expected to submit a report on the use of funding. The form can be found on the DAI\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fedecegeps.ca\/international\/mobilite-internationale\/enseignants\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0webpage<\/a>. Once on the page, scroll to the bottom and click <em>Rapport sur la mobilit\u00e9 enseignante<\/em> to fill out the required form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A few considerations to keep in mind while filling out your application:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is there an opportunity for professional development?\n<ul>\n<li>Acquiring new pedagogical methods;<\/li>\n<li>Integrating new methods into current pedagogical practices;<\/li>\n<li>Networking, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>What is the expected impact of the project?<\/li>\n<li>Will there be a positive impact on student learning?<\/li>\n<li>What are the overall benefits for Dawson students \/ programs \/ the College as a whole?<\/li>\n<li>Will this project evolve and how?<\/li>\n<li>Teachers may apply for funding once every twelve (12) months.<\/li>\n<li>Teachers must submit individual applications, regardless of whether they are collaborating on the project with a colleague.<br \/>\nNote: In cases where two or more teachers are collaborating on a project, each individual\u2019s role should vary slightly from their colleagues\u2019 function in the project.<\/li>\n<li>Projects presented for a second time may not be accepted.
