Passwords have to meet complexity requirements. You may use the same password for MyDawson and Network accounts.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/dawsoncollege.omnivox.ca\/intr\/Module\/Identification\/Login\/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fintr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-397\" src=\"https:\/\/www-staging.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/MyDawsonPortal_Text.jpg\" alt=\"MyDawsonPortal_Text\" width=\"173\" height=\"31\" \/><\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>MyDawson gives you access to Omnivox services, MIO, L\u00e9a, Moodle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Network Account<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The network account is used to login to the wireless network and computers in labs<\/li>\n<li>It is also used to access H: and S: drives.<\/li>\n<li>Access to library databases<\/li>\n<li>If you haven\u2019t created your network account by the beginning of the semester, it is automatically created for you with a default password. In such a case, you must change this password within XXX days (go to <strong>MyDawson : My Dawson Life : Network Account<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Your network account is terminated a year after your last registration. Associated services for <a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/articles\/printing-accounts-pcounter\/\">printing<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/articles\/office-365-faq\/\">Office 365<\/a> are terminated at the same time.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"wifi\" class=\"new dc_accordion  \" style=\"\" ><h2 class=\"dc_accordion-title highlighta\" ><a class=\"image-bg \" style=\"\" href=\"#wifi\"><img class=\"image-bg\" src=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/wifi-icon-250x250.png\" alt=\"something\" \/>Wifi<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"dc_accordion-body image-bg \" style=\"\" ><p>Access the WiFi with your Network account. If not already created, go to <strong>MyDawson : My Dawson Life : Network Account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Dawson_open vs Dawson_secure<\/h2>\n<p>Two networks are available : <strong>Dawson_open<\/strong> for a quick, temporary connection to surf the Web, and <strong>Dawson_secure<\/strong> for an encrypted communication. We recommend the latter because it is makes it harder for someone to \u201clisten in\u201d on your wireless conversation, and allows you to save your credentials rather than login every time. Depending on your device, it may require some configuration : see <a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/articles\/wireless-access\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> for instructions.<\/p>\n<h2>Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Check if your password has expired, especially if you\u2019re still using the default password we generated for you. Do so by going to <strong>MyDawson : My Dawson Life : Network Account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"printing\" class=\"new dc_accordion  \" style=\"\" ><h2 class=\"dc_accordion-title highlighta\" ><a class=\"image-bg \" style=\"\" href=\"#printing\"><img class=\"image-bg\" src=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/printer-icon-250x250.png\" alt=\"something\" \/>Printing<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"dc_accordion-body image-bg \" style=\"\" ><p>Printers are located in labs and in the library. Costs are 5\u00a2 (B&amp;W) and 50\u00a2 (colour) per page.<\/p>\n<p>To check the balance and purchase more print credits with your credit card, go to <span style=\"color: #3366ff\">MyDawson : My College Services : Print Balance Account<\/span>. Alternatively you can use the money transfer machines in 2H.12 and in the library (more info to come soon).<\/p>\n<h2>Wifi printing<\/h2>\n<p>In some labs, you can print files from your phone, tablet or laptop over the wireless network.<\/p>\n<p>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/dc2.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/dc2.dawsoncollege.qc.ca<\/a>, login with your network account, upload the document and choose the printer. Login to Office 365 at <strong>https:\/\/login.microsoftonline.com\/<\/strong> by using your email address (for students, firstname.last[at]dawsoncollege.qc.ca) and your network password. You may also find your login information at <strong>MyDawson : My Dawson Life : Office 365 Account<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<br style=\"clear:both;\"\/>\n<h2>What you get<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/articles\/office-365-proplus\/\">Office ProPlus <\/a>for your PC or Mac, iOS or Android device, and Online through a browser<\/li>\n<li>Chat and Web conferencing through <a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/articles\/microsoft-teams\/\">Teams<\/a><\/li>\n<li>File Storage up to 1TB through <a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/information-systems-and-technology\/articles\/onedrive-for-business\/\">OneDrive Business<\/a><\/li>\n<li>emails up to 50GB. Students already have emails on Office 365.
