Graduates will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrate into the workforce as illustrators, either as freelancers, employees or self-employed small business operators;<\/li>\n<li>Identify, research and analyze client needs and goals;<\/li>\n<li>Conceptualize and communicate art and design proposals;<\/li>\n<li>Adapt to client needs and evolving methods and technologies;<\/li>\n<li>Work effectively, methodically, and ethically, both autonomously and in teams;<\/li>\n<li>Create and coordinate a variety of illustration projects from concept to completion;<\/li>\n<li>Produce a portfolio for application to entry-level positions or freelance work in the industry;<\/li>\n<li>Critique their own work and that of others;<\/li>\n<li>Take responsibility for sustaining personal health and well-being;<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively in English and functionally in French, particularly in the field of illustration;<\/li>\n<li>Understand literature as an exploration of human experience;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate an awareness of worldviews and cultural diversity;<\/li>\n<li>Understand how culture, context and visual literacy inform illustration practices;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate an understanding of ethical issues and adhere to ethical and legal practices established in the field of illustration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Graduates of the Illustration Program will apply practical knowledge and creative ideas to produce effective illustrations for commercial purposes.
