In most cases, temporary Professionals who have been hired for a full-time contract of more than six months are also eligible for benefits coverage. However, a professional employee may, by giving prior written notice to the College, request to be exempted from participation to basic health and dental insurance plan, provided that he or she can submit proof of similar coverage under a different group insurance plan.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"once-i-am-covered-can-i-opt-out-of-a-portion-of-my-benefits\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>Once I am covered, can I opt out of a portion of my benefits?<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p style=\"line-height: 17.25pt;background: white\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt;font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif;color: black\">Based on La F\u00e9d\u00e9ration du personnel professionnel des colleges\u2019 (FPPC\u2019s) current agreement with SSQ, eligible professionals may choose between three different health insurance plan options, each of which offers a different level of coverage; dental and life insurance is also optional for all professional employees.
