right: 0;\" src=\"\/wp-includes\/images\/spinner-2x.gif\"\/> --><\/h2><\/div>\n\n\t\n<h2>Pedagogical Days<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Ped Day Fall 2020: October 16<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dawson College hosts\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/human-resources\/pedagogical-day\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ped Days<\/a> for faculty and staff, providing the opportunity to share knowledge of their teaching expertise, and learn from external workshop facilitators. The events feature a keynote address, and a rich variety of workshops, presentations and panel discussions built around teachers\u2019 interests and suggestions.<\/p>\n<h2>Funding for Faculty<\/h2>\n<p>Dawson Faculty may apply for funds in order to defray the cost of the professional development and training needs. Expenses that are eligible for this fund include internal or external speaker honoraria, and travel expenses. Applications are reviewed twice a year by a committee that includes the appropriate sector dean. Work placements may last up to twenty (20) days, during which period the College will cover the cost of a substitute teacher. Applications are reviewed twice a year by a committee that includes the appropriate sector dean. Interested faculty should complete and submit an application on or before the deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>Application should be made through Sharepoint:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/collegedawson.sharepoint.com\/HR\/SitePages\/Home.aspx\">Work Placement in Industry Application<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadlines: May 22, 2020 and Nov 23, 2019<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<div id=\"professional-development-fund-for-faculty\" class=\"new dc_accordion  multiple\" style=\"\" ><h2 class=\"dc_accordion-title highlighta\" ><a class=\"\" style=\"\" href=\"#professional-development-fund-for-faculty\">Professional Development Fund for Faculty<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"dc_accordion-body \" style=\"\" ><p>The\u00a0 Professional Development Fund for faculty is managed by a parity committee composed of three teacher members and three representatives of the college. Permanent and non-permanent teachers with a full load are eligible for $600\/year. It offers graduate level certificates, diplomas and degrees in college-level teaching for CEGEP teachers and professionals.
