La formation coll\u00e9giale en fran\u00e7ais langue seconde portera sur le d\u00e9veloppement des quatre habilet\u00e9s langagi\u00e8res (parler, \u00e9couter, lire et \u00e9crire), mais elle mettra surtout l&#8217;accent sur la lecture et l&#8217;\u00e9criture.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les cours de fran\u00e7ais, on apprend :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00e0 communiquer ;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e0 s&#8217;exprimer de fa\u00e7on structur\u00e9e ;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e0 travailler en groupe ;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e0 d\u00e9velopper la pens\u00e9e critique ;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e0 r\u00e9soudre des probl\u00e8mes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Le laboratoire de langues fait partie int\u00e9grante des activit\u00e9s des cours de fran\u00e7ais. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves peuvent aussi, sur une base individuelle, se pr\u00e9valoir de l&#8217;aide, des outils et de la documentation m\u00e9diatique disponibles au CL\u00c9O (Centre de langue \u00e9crite et orale). Le CL\u00c9O est anim\u00e9 par des moniteurs et des tuteurs.<\/p>\n<p>Selon leur comp\u00e9tence, \u00e9tablie en fonction de leurs notes en fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9cole secondaire, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves seront class\u00e9s au niveau appropri\u00e9 (100, 101, 102, 103). Si les \u00e9l\u00e8ves n&#8217;ont pas le niveau n\u00e9cessaire pour suivre ces cours cr\u00e9dit\u00e9s, ils devront s&#8217;inscrire au cours de Renforcement en fran\u00e7ais (009) ou \u00e0 d&#8217;autres cours pr\u00e9paratoires non cr\u00e9dit\u00e9s afin d&#8217;atteindre le niveau de langue requis par le minist\u00e8re de l&#8217;\u00c9ducation, sauf s&#8217;ils d\u00e9tiennent un dipl\u00f4me d&#8217;\u00e9tudes secondaires du Qu\u00e9bec. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves qui n&#8217;ont pas fait leurs \u00e9tudes secondaires au Qu\u00e9bec font un test de classement pour d\u00e9terminer leur niveau de comp\u00e9tence avant de s&#8217;inscrire \u00e0 leur premier cours de fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le premier cours de fran\u00e7ais (BLOC A), les \u00e9l\u00e8ves consolideront leurs connaissances linguistiques et culturelles.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le deuxi\u00e8me cours de fran\u00e7ais (BLOC B), les \u00e9l\u00e8ves recevront une formation langagi\u00e8re qui leur permettra de mieux s&#8217;int\u00e9grer \u00e0 leur milieu professionnel. Ces cours ne comportent pas de pr\u00e9alables. Voici les groupements familles de programmes pour les cours du bloc B (\u00e0 droite).<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition of French as a second language permits students to participate more fully in the cultural and professional life of Quebec. In general, students leaving high school have a good grasp of oral French. Instruction of French as a second language at the college level aims to develop the four aspects of language acquisition &#8211; speaking, listening, reading and writing &#8211; with the focus on reading and writing. French courses will teach you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>communicate;<\/li>\n<li>express yourself in a structured manner;<\/li>\n<li>learn and work in a group;<\/li>\n<li>develop critical thinking;<\/li>\n<li>solve problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The language laboratory is an integral part of French courses. Students may also seek individual assistance, use tools and media resources at the CL\u00c9O (Centre de langue \u00e9crite et orale), which is staffed by language monitors.<\/p>\n<p>Students will be placed in appropriate French courses (100, 101, 102 or 103) according to the grades they obtained in high school French. Those who do not have the required level of mastery to register in these credit-level courses will need to upgrade their French skills and attain the language standard set by the Quebec Ministry of Education by passing Renforcement en fran\u00e7ais (009) or other preparatory courses that do not count for college-level credit and are not offered to graduates of Quebec high schools. Students who attended high school outside of Quebec take a French placement test to determine their skill level before enrolling in their first French course.<\/p>\n<p>In the first French course (BLOCK A), students consolidate their linguistic and cultural knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>In the second French course (BLOCK B), students will acquire the language skills that will allow them to better integrate into a professional environment.
