{"id":54,"date":"2017-11-01T12:23:52","date_gmt":"2017-11-01T16:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/elearning\/?page_id=54"},"modified":"2021-08-04T17:00:57","modified_gmt":"2021-08-04T21:00:57","slug":"publications","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/elearning\/resources\/publications\/","title":{"rendered":"Publications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Journal of online learning and teaching\" href=\"http:\/\/jolt.merlot.org\/vol9no2\/poon_0613.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Journal of online learning and teaching &#8211;\u00a0Blended Learning : An Institutional Approach for Enhancing Students&#8217; Learning Experiences<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nBlended learning, which is usually viewed as a combination of face-to-face and online delivery methods, can influence students&#8217; perceptions of the learning environment and, subsequently, their study experiences, learning outcomes, and ultimate academic achievement. \u00a0Joanna Poon (Deakin University, Australia) aimed to examine the benefits that blended learning provides to students&#8217; learning experiences.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Profweb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.profweb.qc.ca\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Profweb<\/b><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The pedagogical resources of Profweb are rendered available to college teachers in order to support and promote IT integration in teaching and learning.<\/p>\n<p><b><a title=\"Blended learning in English\" href=\"http:\/\/www.teachingenglish.org.uk\/publications\/blended-learning-english-language-teaching-course-design-implementation-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">British Council ( Teaching English) &#8211; Blended Learning in English Language Teaching: Course Design and Implementation<\/a><\/b> Edited by Brian Tomlinson and Claire Whittaker<\/p>\n<p>Blended learning is an area of ELT that continues to be of interest to practitioners in the field. Despite this, little can be found in the literature on blended learning course design or detailed descriptions provided of blends used in ELT contexts. This publication, which contains twenty case studies from around the world, addresses this deficit by illustrating blends being employed on EAP, ESP, Teacher Development and general EFL courses.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Evaluation for distance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uiweb.uidaho.edu\/eo\/dist4.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Evaluation for distance educators<\/strong><\/a>by Tania H. Gottschalk &#8211; \u00a0University of Idaho<\/p>\n<p>When teaching at a distance, educators must address a different teaching challenge than when teaching in a traditional classroom.
