{"id":6,"date":"2014-04-16T15:33:11","date_gmt":"2014-04-16T15:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/developmental-science\/?page_id=6"},"modified":"2021-08-04T16:55:31","modified_gmt":"2021-08-04T20:55:31","slug":"admissions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/developmental-science\/admissions\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission Requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES), including:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondary V Language of Instruction<\/li>\n<li>Secondary V Second Language<\/li>\n<li>Secondary IV Science<\/li>\n<li>Secondary IV Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>Secondary IV History<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>or Academic background judged equivalent to the DES.<\/p>\n<p>(Students with a DES missing any of the above subjects may be admitted, space permitting, but may be required to complete remedial courses.)<\/p>\n<h3>Additional Admission requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Conditional admission to Dawson\u2019s Developmental Science program requires that a student\u2019s passing grades are too low for direct admission to a regular pre-university science or technical program in the following science prerequisites*:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sec V Mathematics &#8211; Technical &#038; Scientific option or<br \/>\nScience option 564-506 or 565-506<\/li>\n<li>Sec V Chemistry 551-504<\/li>\n<li>Sec V Physics 553-504<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*For students graduating before June 2010 or from an Adult Education Centre, the pre-requisites are Mathematics 536, Chemistry 534, and Physics 534<\/p>\n<p>Conditional admission is based on Secondary IV final and Secondary V mid-term grades.
