{"id":8,"date":"2014-04-14T19:01:56","date_gmt":"2014-04-14T19:01:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/cinema-video-communications\/?page_id=8"},"modified":"2021-08-04T16:54:31","modified_gmt":"2021-08-04T20:54:31","slug":"activities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www-chris.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/cinema-communications\/activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/public\/programs\/caaa\/call\/cinvidcom\/motion.jpg\" border=0 name=ID3Path><\/p>\n<p>Activities of the Profile are centered around the  Cinema, Video and Communications Department, which is a lively area with  various activities.<\/p>\n<p>Course offerings include a broad range of theory and  production style classes that comprise lectures, presentations workshops,  exercises, screenings and discussion.&nbsp; The  Profile regularly invites documentary filmmakers, journalists, television  producers and developers, animators, and directors to speak in these classes.&nbsp; Visits to art galleries, museums and local  film and media festivals are also a routine part of course-related activity.<\/p>\n<p>Students generate their own activities as well,  using the Cinema Video Communications Department facilities to meet and  organize special events and related fundraising.&nbsp; At the end of every semester, students  organize a presentation of current video work, Media Night.&nbsp; At the end of the academic year, this event  may expand into a multi-day festival with events that include a Media Night  Gala with prizes, a live multimedia performance, and exhibits of other  multimedia work.&nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Activities of the Profile are centered around the Cinema, Video and Communications Department, which is a lively area with various activities.
