We will be holding several testing rounds from March to May for Fall admissions, and from November to December for Winter admissions. For the dates of specific rounds, click on <strong><em>Dates of Testing Rounds <\/em><\/strong>below. If you are selected for testing, you will receive <strong>a notice by email <\/strong>with full details on the test(s) to write, when and where on campus the test(s) will take place. We strongly recommend that you write requested tests, as you may be disqualified if you fail to attend. Click on each test below for details.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that if you reside outside Canada and require a visa to travel to Canada, the notice for admissions testing will NOT qualify you to apply for a study visa to enter Canada. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Depending on where you are traveling from, travel and accommodation expenses may be costly. We strongly recommend that you write requested tests, as you may be disqualified if you fail to attend.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<h2>English and French Tests<\/h2>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"english-test\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>English Test<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p><strong>English: Overall duration of test \u2013 60 minutes (In person at Dawson College)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The English test is a 60 minute test that focuses on comprehension and writing skills.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants are asked to read two short passages and to then write about one of them.<\/p>\n<p>Students are asked to do their best to demonstrate their English language skills.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"faq-content\"><div class=\"dc_faq\" id=\"french-test\"><div class=\"dc_faq-title\"><button>French Test<\/button><\/div><div class=\"dc_faq-body\">\n<p><strong>French: Overall duration of test \u2013 60 minutes (Online)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The French test is completed online. It consists of of 60 multiple choice questions.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants are given a user name and a password to log into the test.\u00a0 Each applicant will have a maximum of 60 minutes to complete the test and must use headphones as there are some audio questions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<h2>Math, Science, Chemistry and Physics Tests<\/h2>\n<p>To help prepare for your test, we have provided below a description of the format, the topics that will be covered, and for certain subjects, the name of a reference textbook. Click on each test for details.<\/p>\n<p>Please note, that the textbooks referenced below are available for <strong>in-Library use only for 3 hours <\/strong>from the Circulation Desk at the Dawson College Library. You must present a valid photo ID in order to borrow these textbooks.<\/p>\n<p>Manuals referenced within each description may be purchased at the Dawson College Bookstore.
